March 21, 2005 \u00a0– Well, we have a rain delay… our painter is behind and won’t be here for probably a week. \u00a0And the rest of the work can’t be done until he’s finished. \u00a0We’re left with the completion of some small jobs. \u00a0I’ve been working on paint colors. \u00a0Dunn-Edwards<\/a> has a great feature on their website, which lets you create multi-color schemes. \u00a0You can see what the different colors look like when put together, order chips if you don’t have a store conveniently located (ours is about a mile away from the house), etc. \u00a0The kitchen counters arrived and were installed, as was the fireplace surround. \u00a0The railing for the staircase arrived. \u00a0The spindles still have to be placed. \u00a0This is one of the two areas where we went over budget — but the granite was NOT!<\/p>\n
